Silent disco - Silent DJ - Silent band concept
For the uninitiated, a silent disco is where each person in the crowd is given a pair of headphones on entry. There are no speakers at all (so no external noise). There are 3 channels, A, B and C, on the headphones, and these correspond to 3 DJs on the stage, battling with each other to keep people listening to their channel.
The DJs can only hear the music via their own set of headphones, although they also have access to a second pair that carries the same thing the crowd hears (so the DJs can hear what their music sounds like "out there").
Also you can see on the led-indicator on each headphone, to which channel they listen (blue, red or green)
If you walk into the room without headphones on yourself, it all appears really strange, because you see people dancing and singing but there's no music at all - hence the term "silent disco".
You can as well listen to a performing silent-band or have an plug-in session were everybody is listening trough the headphones to an acoustic performance of the artist.
Silent disco is een dans concept waarbij het feestende publiek met elk een draadloze koptelefoon kan meeluisteren en meedoen met een DJ of zelfs een live band.
Silent ervaring
Als je geen koptelefoon op hebt, zie je iedereen dansen en swingen en vaak ook gezellig meezingen en schreeuwen met de DJ of band. Verder is er geen geluidsoverlast en kan men gewoon met elkaar praten in dezelfde ruimte.
Silent Everything
Er kan voor gekozen worden om tussen 3 kanalen op de koptelefoon te schakelen en zo ook te schakelen tussen 3 verschillende DJs, bijvoorbeeld een disco-dance-classics-DJ en een Rock/Rap /Dance/Trance/R&B- DJ, of tussen een DJ en een live band of bijv. plug-in sessie.
De koptelefoons hebben een led-indicator met een kleur zodat zowel DJ als publiek altijd kan zien naar welke DJ of band men luistert, zo ontstaat er vaak en DJ battle en wordt het des te leuker!
